Compensation

Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Status : Full Time Regular

Shift: 10 HOUR DAY SHIFT

Department: Interventional Radiology

Position Summary

Summary:
The Special Procedures Technologist assists the physician in the performance of procedures conducted in Interventional Radiology. The Special Procedures Technologist demonstrates the proficiency in the performance of examinations and operation of equipment in all locations including Main Radiology Department, Emergency Room X-ray area, portable/mobile units, fluoroscopic units, mobile fluoroscopic units (c-arms), O.R. Cysto Room.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:
Education Required

Must complete in-house orientation program
Graduate of A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program.

Experience And Skills

Excellent interpersonal skills
Speaks, reads and writes English

At least 1 years of Radiologic Technologist experience required.

2 –3 years’ experience in Interventional Radiology imaging preferred.

License/Certifications

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or equivalent, preferred and registration in the pertinent discipline
Holds current New York State Department of Health certificate of registration as a Radiologic Technologist.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn

Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.

Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.

Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, &/or in excess of 50 lbs. of force frequently &/or 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
