Job Summary
Lyssy & Eckel is looking for a dependable, safety-minded Bagger Operator to join our Roswell manufacturing team. This role is a key part of our final production process, helping ensure finished feed products are properly bagged, checked, and prepared for delivery to customers across the state.
As a Bagger Operator, you will operate and monitor bagging equipment, perform quality checks on finished products, assist with basic machine upkeep, and help maintain a clean and organized work area. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality, and wants to be part of a team that helps keep production moving safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Bagging Operations: Operate bagging equipment used to package finished feed products safely and efficiently.
- Equipment Monitoring: Monitor machinery during production to ensure equipment is running properly and product is being bagged correctly.
- Quality Control: Perform routine checks on finished bags, including weight, seals, labeling, appearance, and overall product quality.
- Basic Troubleshooting: Identify and communicate equipment issues, jams, or irregular operation. Assist with basic troubleshooting when appropriate.
- Housekeeping and Sanitation: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around the bagging line and surrounding mill areas. Cleanliness is a top priority.
- Safety Practices: Follow all company safety procedures, equipment operating instructions, and feed safety expectations.
- Production Support: Assist with other physical tasks around the mill or warehouse as needed to support daily production.
Shift & Hours
- This is a full-time, day-shift position. Hours may vary depending on production needs.
- Typical Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM; Saturdays, 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Shift Length: May include 10- to 12-hour shifts depending on production demands
- Overtime: Overtime opportunities may increase during peak production periods
- Exact start and end times may vary based on operational needs.

Physical Requirements & Qualifications
- Candidates must be able to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and carry bags weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
- This role also requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb stairs or ladders, and work in an industrial manufacturing environment that may be dusty, noisy, and affected by outside temperatures.
- Additional qualifications include:
- Basic mechanical understanding and willingness to learn equipment operation
- Ability to monitor machinery and recognize when equipment is not operating properly
- Strong attention to detail for checking bag weights, seals, labels, and finished product quality
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work well as part of a team
- Prior experience in feed manufacturing, grain handling, food production, packaging, machine operation, forklift operation, or industrial equipment operation is preferred but not required
- Ability to commute to the Roswell facility
