Full Job Description

About us

Stony Lake Inn is a family-friendly restaurant and bar. Locally renowned for our perch dinners, deep fried asparagus, and our quality beef burgers & steaks; we take the quality of our food and our service seriously.

Duties:

Food Preparation: Prepping ingredients (chopping, slicing, marinating, etc.) before and during service.
Cooking: Preparing dishes according to recipes, including grilling, sautéing, frying, and baking.
Station Management: Managing a specific station in the kitchen, such as the grill, sauté, or fry station.
Plating: Assembling dishes and ensuring they meet presentation standards.
Quality Control: Ensuring food quality, taste, and consistency are up to standard.
Time Management: Cooking and assembling orders quickly and efficiently during service.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Keeping the workstation clean and sanitized throughout the shift.
Inventory and Stocking: Monitoring and replenishing ingredients at the station.
Team Collaboration: Communicating with other kitchen staff and chefs to coordinate orders.
Following Safety Standards: Adhering to food safety and health regulations at all times.

Experience:
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations is a plus
