Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic TBK Chef Instructor to inspire and educate aspiring culinary artists and creative professionals. In this role, you will develop engaging curriculum, lead hands-on cooking classes, and foster a positive learning environment that nurtures students’ culinary talents and artistic expression. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of culinary expertise, teaching experience, and a vibrant enthusiasm for arts education, ensuring students gain practical skills while cultivating their creativity. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of chefs, artists, and performers through innovative instruction and mentorship.

Duties

Design and implement comprehensive culinary curricula that incorporate fundamental cooking techniques, food presentation, and creative arts integration
Lead engaging cooking classes for diverse age groups, including children, teens, and adults, emphasizing hands-on participation and skill development
Manage classroom environments effectively by fostering inclusive participation
Provide individualized instruction and tutoring to support students’ growth in culinary skills and artistic pursuits
Coordinate special projects like culinary demonstrations, performances, or exhibitions that showcase student talents in the arts
Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to health regulations and safety standards in food handling and equipment use

Qualifications

Proven experience in culinary arts with a strong background in cooking techniques and kitchen management
Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum tailored to various skill levels and age groups
Experience working with children or youth programs
Skills in teaching visual & performing arts such as dance (ballet), theater, choreography, music (instrumental performance), photography, sewing or other creative disciplines
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate students and foster a positive learning atmosphere
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and engage parents when necessary
Passion for arts education combined with culinary expertise to inspire creativity across disciplines
