Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our team!

Key Responsibilities

Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding deliveries, changes to schedule, traffic patterns and to ensure prompt, courteous, and safe delivery of our product
Communicate effectively with customers to determine order details and job site requirements
Use GPS software to monitor truck statuses and to hunt trucks in a status too long
Dispatch and schedule loads to maximize profitability and guarantee customer satisfaction
Ensure that detailed information on assigned loads is relayed to drivers and completely understood
Monitor truck activity via radio and GPS to maintain timely schedules and delivery of orders
Use concrete dispatch software, GPS and two-way radios
Maintain goals with KPIs set by management team

Qualifications

3-5 years’ experience dispatching in the trucking or related industry
Must be able to work up to 50 hours per week (10-hour days) with up to one Saturday per month
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, occasionally requiring early morning or late-night work, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
Must have experience with GPS tracking systems
Must have computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure
Able to work well independently and as part of a team
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Possess effective communication skills, both oral and written
Be self-motivated, receptive to feedback and have the ability to think critically
