**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced school environment. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, supporting our team, and contributing to the delivery of exceptional meals to our students and staff.

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist with food preparation, including meal planning, food cutting, and cooking.

- Support our chefs and cooks in the kitchen, ensuring dishes are prepared to our high standards.

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and handling procedures.

- Assist with food service, including plating and serving dishes to customers.

- Participate in catering and special events, ensuring timely and efficient food delivery.

- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and high-quality food presentation.

- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all food safety and handling regulations.

**Skills:**

- Experience in the food industry or a related field.

- Strong culinary skills, including meal preparation and food handling.

- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.

- Familiarity with food service.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.

- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and menu items.

- Certification in food handling and safety, or willingness to obtain.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30.0 per week
