Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional meal services in an assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure kitchen sanitation, and support the dietary department in delivering nutritious meals that cater to the needs of our residents. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen while promoting a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

Assist in the serving of meals and beverages.
Ensure all kitchen areas are sanitized and maintained in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Support cooks and other kitchen staff during meal preparation and service.
Serve meals to residents, ensuring proper portion sizes and presentation.
Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas after meal service.
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with stocking supplies as needed.
Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs or preferences of residents.
Maintain effective time management to ensure timely meal delivery and service.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while also being self-motivated.
Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in serving others, particularly in an assisted living context.
Basic cooking skills are a plus, along with familiarity with meal preparation processes.
