Full Job Description

Are you a culinary enthusiast with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences? We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at Armor Brewing Co. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality cuisine to our valued customers.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and develop creative menus that align with our culinary concept and target audience.
Assist in supervising and training kitchen staff, ensuring proper techniques, procedures, and hygiene standards are followed at all times.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency and quality in all dishes.
Manage inventory levels, monitor food costs, and assist in ordering supplies to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Act as a mentor to junior members of the team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a positive work culture.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of kitchen operations, actively participating in menu development, and suggesting process enhancements.
Assist in coordinating and executing special events, catering services, and private dining experiences as required.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. (2-5 years)
Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food presentation.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Education and Certification:

Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred.
ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training is highly desirable.
