Full Job Description

Atlantic Pro Boat Sales & Service is looking for an experienced Parts, Service & Accounting Manager to oversee the financial and administrative side of our Parts and Service departments.

This is a key management position for someone who understands accounting, inventory, purchasing, and dealership operations. We are looking for a hands-on person who can control expenses, maintain accurate records in Lightspeed, manage AP/AR, oversee parts purchasing and inventory, and help ensure that our Parts and Service departments operate efficiently and profitably.

Marine, powersports, automotive, RV, or similar dealership experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable related to Parts and Service operations
Monitor Parts and Service department expenses, revenue, gross profit, and overall profitability
Control and review parts purchasing and vendor spending
Manage parts inventory and maintain accurate inventory records
Verify that purchased parts are properly received, entered, assigned, and billed
Review vendor invoices and statements for accuracy
Process and track vendor payments, credits, returns, and outstanding balances
Maintain accurate information in Lightspeed DMS
Review service repair orders to ensure parts and labor are properly billed
Help prevent missed charges, incorrect pricing, unbilled parts, and other revenue leakage
Monitor parts margins, labor revenue, and department performance
Track customer receivables and follow up on outstanding balances
Reconcile transactions and identify accounting or inventory discrepancies
Work closely with Service Advisors, technicians, management, vendors, and accounting
Maintain organized financial and operational records
Assist management with reports showing Parts and Service revenue, expenses, margins, and profitability
Help develop and maintain procedures and controls for Parts and Service operations

Requirements

Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills
Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Experience with inventory management and purchasing
Understanding of profit margins, expenses, cost control, and basic P&L concepts
Experience working in a dealership environment strongly preferred
Knowledge of boats, marine parts, engines, or related equipment strongly preferred
Powersports, automotive, RV, or similar dealership experience will also be considered
Lightspeed DMS experience strongly preferred
Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to identify discrepancies and follow transactions from purchase through customer billing
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, employees, and management
Must be dependable and comfortable taking responsibility for financial accuracy

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate understands that this position is not simply data entry or bookkeeping.

We need someone who can look at the Parts and Service operation and understand where the money is being spent, whether everything is being billed correctly, what margins we are making, what customers owe us, what we owe vendors, and whether the departments are operating profitably.

You should be comfortable working independently, identifying problems, correcting discrepancies, and bringing important financial or operational issues to management's attention.

Atlantic Pro Boat Sales & Service is a growing marine dealership and service facility in Palmetto, Florida. We sell and service boats and outboard motors and operate multiple departments including boat sales, service, parts, electronics, upholstery, detailing, fiberglass/gelcoat repair, and other marine services.

This is a full-time, on-site position.

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
