Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining and restaurant environments, with a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and service. As a chef, you will be responsible for kitchen operations while communicating with the Head Chef, and ensuring that all food handling practices meet health and safety standards. This role requires creativity, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. We are a 60 seat restaurant that offers creative weekly specials and we are looking for a team oriented person to join our team.

Duties

Maintain menu options that reflect current food trends while catering to customer preferences.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Help manage inventory effectively, and communicating with head chef items for ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times that includes dish washing
Training and mentoring of support kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and best practices.
Maintain effective communication with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings.
Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations.
Experience in food service management, including inventory management
Ability to contribute in the creation diverse menus that cater to various tastes and dietary requirements.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Strong leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring team members.
