Aya Healthcare has an exciting 13-week assignment in Rutland, VT!

Job Details:

JOB TITLE: HR Business Partner

CONTRACT DURATION: 13 weeks with potential to extend or become permanent

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
WEEKEND REQUIREMENT: None

LOCATION: Rutland, VT

ONBOARDING TIME: Expect 2-3 weeks from offer acceptance to start date.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

EXPERIENCE

5+ years of Employee/Labor Relations experience functioning in a Labor Relations, HR Generalist, HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or comparable HR capacity.
Strong experience handling employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
Experience supporting leaders with employee concerns, performance management, corrective action, and other employee relations matters.
Experience reviewing, interpreting, and updating HR policies and procedures.

CERTIFICATIONS:

HR certification, such as PHR or SPHR, preferred but not required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Experience working with HRIS and HR-related systems.
Current systems include Great Plains and RADAR.
Organization plans to transition to Workday next year; Workday experience is not required for this assignment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as a resource for Employee and Labor Relations matters, partnering with employees, leaders, and the HR team.
Conduct workplace and Employee Relations investigations, including fact-finding, documentation, interviews, recommendations, and appropriate follow-through.
Assist leadership with employee complaints, concerns, grievances, professional conduct matters, and other Employee Relations issues.
Provide guidance to leaders and the HR team regarding performance improvement plans, corrective action, disciplinary matters, and terminations.
Coach and counsel leaders on Employee Relations matters to promote consistent application of HR policies and practices.
Support labor/union relations matters, including interpretation of collective bargaining agreements and assistance with grievance processes.
Partner closely with the HR Principal Business Partner and other HR team members on Employee and Labor Relations matters.
Review, interpret, and assist with updating HR policies, procedures, programs, and related communications.
Interpret applicable policies, procedures, and federal and state employment laws and provide guidance regarding their application.
Partner with Legal and Compliance to determine appropriate handling of employment-related matters.
Lead and support performance management discussions to promote consistency throughout the organization.
Document investigation findings and fact-finding, provide recommendations to leadership, and ensure appropriate closure of Employee Relations matters.
Assist leadership with workforce actions, including reorganizations, layoffs, or other workforce changes, as needed.
Help develop and implement Employee and Labor Relations strategies.
Support other HR programs, initiatives, and responsibilities as needed.
