Full Job Description

Resident Service Coordinator

Resident Service Coordinators help residents maintain housing stability, independence, and well-being by connecting them with services, resources, and community supports. This role includes both individual resident support and program development.

We are looking for candidates with experience providing direct support to individuals, as well as experience planning, coordinating, or supporting programs. Resident Service Coordinators assist with food security efforts, work with community providers to bring programs to housing sites, and provide strong service coordination for residents with a wide range of needs.

Key Responsibilities

Service Coordination
Help residents identify needs, understand options, access benefits, and connect with services. Provide follow-up support, problem-solving, advocacy, and referrals as needed.

Individual Support
Build trust with residents and provide respectful, resident-centered support. Assist residents in navigating challenges that may affect housing stability, safety, health, or independence.

Programming and Partnerships
Develop and support resident-centered programs that promote stability, wellness, connection, and opportunity. Work with community providers to bring services and activities directly to housing sites.

Community Building
Support activities, resident groups, newsletters, and events that help build connection and a sense of community among residents.

Outreach and Advocacy
Proactively identify resident needs and work with staff, families, providers, community agencies, and use policy and regulation as tools to address concerns. Follow up on referrals and help residents access additional support when needed.

Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of resident contacts, referrals, services, and outcomes. Prepare reports and understand relevant housing rules in order to assist residents effectively.

Skills and Experience

Experience providing individual support or service coordination.
Experience developing, coordinating, or supporting programs.
Knowledge of community services, benefits, and eligibility requirements.
Ability to build trust and positive relationships with residents.
Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with internal staff, community partners, and service providers.
Strong advocacy skills and sound professional judgment.
Ability to work independently while seeking support when needed.
Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records.

Education

A degree in social work, sociology, psychology, human services, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience or training in aging services, human services, housing, or related work may also be considered.

Pay: From $53,000.00 per year
