Government & Utility Contracting Consultant (Independent Contractor)

Job Description

Alchemist Concrete Inc. is seeking an experienced Government & Utility Contracting Consultant to help expand our commercial and public works opportunities throughout Northern California.

This is a flexible, independent contractor position ideal for someone with experience working with utility companies, municipalities, government agencies, or large commercial contractors.

The ideal candidate understands the prequalification process, vendor registration, bid opportunities, compliance requirements, and can help position our company for long-term growth.

Responsibilities

Assist with contractor prequalification and vendor registrations
Help register the company with utilities, government agencies, and commercial clients
Identify bid opportunities that fit our services
Review contract requirements and compliance documentation
Advise on required certifications, insurance, and safety documentation
Help develop strategies for winning commercial and public works projects
Coordinate with company management regarding project opportunities
Provide ongoing consulting as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with public works, utilities, or government contracting
Knowledge of PG&E, SMUD, municipalities, or similar procurement systems
Understanding of contractor licensing, insurance, and compliance requirements
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience bidding commercial, utility, or public works construction projects is highly preferred.
Self-motivated and able to work independently

Alchemist Concrete Inc. is a licensed and insured concrete contractor serving Sacramento and surrounding areas. We specialize in residential and commercial concrete construction including driveways, patios, sidewalks, foundations, retaining walls, stamped concrete, stairs, ramps, and ADA improvements.

Compensation

Compensation is listed as an hourly equivalent for Indeed purposes. Actual compensation may be negotiated based on project scope, experience, and deliverables. This is a flexible independent contractor opportunity.

Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
