Full Job Description

Job Summary

Join our compassionate team as a Home Care Aide, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and medical needs. This energetic position offers the opportunity to provide personalized, respectful care in clients’ homes and community settings. You will deliver essential support that promotes independence, safety, and well-being, ensuring each person receives attentive, professional care tailored to their unique needs. Whether assisting with mobility, medication management, or daily routines, your dedication will make a meaningful difference every day.

Responsilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility assistance, and meal preparation to promote comfort and independence.
Monitor patient condition through observations and overall health status, reporting changes promptly.
Medication reminders accurately following state guidelines and company's protocols while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Record and documentation of client's care provided.
Assist with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's and dementia care, hospice support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities such as physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed in accordance with dietary health plans.
Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment for clients.
Support clients during community outings or errands to foster social engagement and independence.
Follow all safety protocols related to CPR certification and emergency procedures to ensure client safety at all times.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid State ID or Driver’s License.
All applicants must register online with the CDSS Home Care Services Branch and pay a non-refundable fee of $35.00. HCA registration must be renewed every two years.
Must pass a criminal background check via Live Scan (Form LIC 9163) is mandatory. Convictions for crimes involving abuse, fraud, or violence can disqualify applicants.
Health Screening - A Tuberculosis (TB) Test is required with negative test results within 90 days of employment if the applicant is hired.
Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
If hired, it is required that all employees must attend 5-hour entry level New Hire Orientation training and 5-Hour Continuing Education Training annually provided by Integrity Care & Staffing Agency.

Experience

Prior experience in home care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with seniors and individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and medical documentation standards.
Knowledge of hospice care practices and long-term care environments is a plus.
Proven ability to observe patient conditions carefully and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
Valid CPR certification required; additional certifications such as hospice care training or specialized caregiving courses are advantageous. Join us in delivering heartfelt care that empowers individuals to live comfortably and confidently in their homes!
