In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

Purchasing Services seeks energetic and motivated individuals who can provide guidance and quality customer service to Department staff and management. We are seeking candidates who can plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze information with meticulous attention to detail. Practical verbal and written communication skills are essential for conveying ideas and information effectively. Candidates must be flexible in adjusting to changing work assignments, especially under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have experience with developing and maintaining training materials, procurement, database quality control, and research experience, be familiar with State non-IT purchasing processes, and have experience with Cal eProcure and Fi$Cal all while interpreting and applying laws, policies, and regulations. Knowledge of online banking/corporate accounts experience, proficiency in personal computers, including knowledge of hardware and software such as the Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs. Familiar with SAP, or similar, is a plus! The successful incumbent will take initiative, exercise good judgment, and maintain consistent, regular, and predictable attendance.
