MASTER SEAL CRAFT
Field Sales Specialist – Sacramento & Central Valley
Full-Time | Field-Based | $100,000+ Target Compensation
This is a role for a rare kind of hire: someone with the digital fluency of a younger generation, the maturity and relationship instincts of a seasoned sales professional, and real roots in the food-and-beverage world. If you already know how commercial kitchens run — because you've sold to them, managed one, or run operations inside one — and you can run your entire day from your phone, Sacramento and the Central Valley are wide open for you.
WHO WE ARE
Master Seal Craft (MSC) keeps commercial kitchens running. We supply and install refrigeration gaskets, oven seals, and door closers for restaurants, grocers, hospitals, schools, hotels, stadiums, and high-volume fast-food and fast-casual operators. We service the seals and hardware most people never think about — until they fail a health inspection.
Sacramento and the Central Valley make up one of the most commercially dense food-service markets in the Western U.S.: independent restaurants, regional grocery chains, large-scale food processors, school districts, hospital networks, and some of the highest-volume kitchens in the state. There is no shortage of customers here. What's been missing is the right person — someone the local food-service community already knows and trusts — to build those relationships.
We're a team that genuinely cares — about the craft, about our customers, and about each other. We stay hungry, we follow through, and we don't cut corners. That's the standard we hold ourselves to, and it's the standard we hire to.
THE ROLE
This isn't a traditional sales job, and it isn't a traditional trade gig either. It's both — and that's what makes it interesting.
As our Field Sales Specialist for Sacramento and the Central Valley, you'll own a territory that stretches from the capital down through Stockton, Modesto, and Fresno — a corridor packed with commercial kitchens at every scale. You'll get in front of owners, GMs, kitchen managers, and operators, understand what their operation actually needs, and personally install the solutions you recommend. No handoffs. You see it through from first conversation to finished installation — and you manage the entire cycle from the phone in your pocket.
You'll work mostly in the field, with periodic check-ins at our Sacramento/Central Valley office and a weekly Zoom call with the owner.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lean on your network. Open doors through the relationships you already have across the local restaurant and food-service community — then keep building them, referral by referral.
- Build genuine relationships. Get in front of owners, GMs, and operators — listening first, recommending second — and become the trusted go-to name in your territory.
- Generate your own leads. Cold calls, walk-ins, and local networking across the Sacramento metro and Central Valley corridor.
- Assess and advise. Walk kitchens, spot the refrigeration doors, seals, and hardware that need attention, and write up quotes on the spot — you're the inspector, the advisor, and the closer.
- Install and deliver. Personally install refrigeration gaskets, oven seals, door closers, and related hardware — with care and precision. Clean, compact work. No refrigerant, no electrical, no heavy lifting.
- Run it all from your phone. Log every visit, capture photos, build quotes, schedule follow-ups, and update the pipeline in our CRM from your mobile device — in the field, in real time, no paperwork waiting back at a desk.
- Grow your book. Stay curious about what else your customers need — before they have to ask. Your territory's recurring revenue is your income engine.
- Report clean. Honest weekly updates with the owner — real numbers, no surprises.
WHAT YOU BRING
The ideal candidate brings all three of the following. A driven candidate with two of the three and the coachability to close the gap is worth a conversation.
- Food-service roots — required. You've either sold into the restaurant, grocery, or food-and-beverage market, or you've worked in restaurant operations or management. You understand how these businesses run, how a kitchen thinks, and how to talk to an operator as a peer.
- Community connections. You're known in the local food-service community and have a network of owners, GMs, chefs, or operators you can pick up the phone and call. Your relationships are a head start we can't train into someone else.
- Mobile-first operator. You run your working life from your phone and are comfortable doing all of it on mobile — CRM entry, digital quotes, photos, calendar, email, and messaging. You don't need a desk to be productive.
- Seasoned maturity. You carry yourself with the professionalism, judgment, and follow-through of someone who's earned trust from demanding customers before.
- A “listen first” approach. You ask good questions, understand what's actually needed, and earn trust by being straight.
- Hands-on capability. You take pride in installations done right, not just done fast.
- Initiative and dependability. You don't wait to be told; you see what needs doing and do it — every time.
- Transportation. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation. This territory covers real ground.

WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY IS THE RIGHT ONE
The Sacramento and Central Valley corridor is one of the most target-rich food-service markets in the state — and it's underleveraged. Independent restaurants, regional grocery chains, hospital cafeterias, school districts, food processors, stadiums, and a fast-growing fast-casual scene all share one thing: commercial kitchens that need exactly what we provide. Most of them don't have a trusted go-to yet.
If you already know these operators — and you can run a modern, mobile sales operation without missing a beat — you'll be first through the door with an established brand, a niche product every kitchen needs, and the chance to build a book of business that compounds over time. The territory is there. The demand is there. What's needed is someone ready to go earn it.
