Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the IT Security Manager, at the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) in the Office of Information Services (OIS), the incumbent performs a variety of complex technical and analytical tasks to ensure the security, integrity, and recovery of the organization’s information assets. The incumbent serves as a technical lead in vulnerability management, risk assessment, application security, and disaster recovery compliance.

This position is located at:
2180 Harvard Street, Suite 160
Sacramento, CA 95815.

The office is in a high rise building with elevators. The incumbent will work in a temperature-controlled office environment with an assigned cubicle. Access to the department suite will require a special badge. DIR is currently in a hybrid telework schedule and Incumbent will be required to work on site two days a week.

The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) was established in 1927. Its mission is to improve working conditions for California's wage earners and to advance opportunities for profitable employment in California. DIR administers and enforces laws governing wages, workplace safety and health, apprenticeship training programs, and medical care and other benefits for injured workers.
