Job Overview

Mosaic Minds is seeking an energetic and compassionate Sensory-Movement Group Facilitator to co-lead groups within our Social Skills Program, serving children, teens, and young adults with autism, developmental disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental needs. In this role, you'll use movement and sensory-based activities as engaging tools to help participants build real-world social skills — turn-taking, communication, and peer interaction — in a structured, supportive group setting. Your energy and background will help participants build confidence and meaningful connections in a positive, active environment.

This is a paid, W2 position with reliable weekday and weekend availability required (3-5 days/week). Join a growing team building a brand-new indoor sensory gym and expanded group programming space — a ground-floor opportunity to help shape a new program.

Responsibilities

Co-facilitate structured social skills group sessions that use movement and sensory-based activities as the teaching method, for participants ages 3 through young adulthood
Design and deliver age-appropriate activities (obstacle courses, partner movement games, sensory station rotations) with social skill goals — turn-taking, requesting, following group instructions — embedded throughout
Use positive behavior support strategies to encourage participation and engagement within the group
Document participant progress toward specific social/behavioral goals each session
Collaborate with our clinical team, including our BCBA, on curriculum design and session pacing
Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging environment in our sensory gym and sensory room
Communicate professionally with families and the interdisciplinary team as needed to support client goals

Qualifications

Personal training certification, background in kinesiology, OR a bachelor's degree in psychology, early childhood education, or a related human services field
Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders strongly preferred (ABA/RBT experience a plus)
Comfortable leading both active movement content and structured sensory-based group activities
Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)
American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency a plus
Reliable weekday and weekend availability required (3-5 days/week)
