The Unit-Ward Clerk role involves supporting the Director of Nursing and Unit Managers by monitoring the completion of records as well as nursing station organization.

Initiate and coordinate the admission process, including completing the admission checklist and conducting facility tours for prospective residents.

Maintain in-house chart appearance and organization, filing all incoming clinical information daily.

Monitor and ensure timely return of signed telephone orders and documentation from physicians and other professionals.

Prepare and organize paperwork for resident transfers, referrals, and discharges.

Protect the privacy and security of health information by following all confidentiality and release-of-information procedures.

Act as a liaison between the Nursing Department and other departments to support communication and workflow.
Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent (GED) required.

Active CNA certification required.

Proficiency in PointClickCare (PCC) and general computer systems and Familiarity with order entry processes is a plus.

Previous experience as a Ward Clerk or Unit Clerk in a long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or other healthcare setting.

Shift Start Time: 2:00 PM

Consistent weekend availability required.
