Position Summary
The Senior Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning petroleum fueling systems, including storage tanks, dispensing equipment, piping, and related electrical components. This role leads field operations, supervises junior technicians, manages service documentation, and interfaces with clients and regulatory officials.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and repair of:
UST and AST systems
Submersible turbine pumps (STPs)
Dispensers and card reader systems
Leak detection systems (electronic & mechanical)
Piping sumps and containment systems
Overfill prevention and spill containment systems
Tank monitoring systems (Veeder-Root, Omntec or equivalent)
- Conduct hydrostatic testing, line testing, sump testing, and functionality testing per contract and regulatory requirements.
- Perform system start-ups, commissioning, and compliance verification.
- Interpret blueprints, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and contract specifications.
- Identify safety, environmental, and regulatory risks and implement corrective action.
- Complete detailed service reports
- Interface with inspectors, facility managers, and project managers.
- Provide scope clarification for additional work orders when deficiencies are discovered.
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage documentation and site-specific contract requirements.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in petroleum fueling systems service.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working in transit authority, municipal, or high-compliance environments preferred.
- Manufacturer’s Training preferred (Gilbarco, Wayne, Veeder Root, Omntec, Etc.)
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Certifications (as applicable by region)
- OSHA 30
- Confined Space Training
- Hazwoper (40-hour preferred)
- State/County-specific tank testing or NYC fire department licenses (e.g., P-02 or equivalent where required)

- The salary range for this position is $25.00/HR–$50.00+/HR. This range represents the company’s good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, and business needs.
