About us

Loeb House, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit, agency that provides transitional housing for adults living with a chronic, serious mental illness. Our goal is to reintegrate clients back into the community in order to live independent lives while managing their mental illness.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Director of Community Residences to join our team. As the Assistant Director of Community Residences, you will be responsible for the administration and management of all Community Residences, you will also be responsible for overseeing the health and safety of recipients who live in, and/or are transferred to, one of the Community Residences,. This is a leadership role that requires strong administrative skills, relationship management abilities, and experience in program management.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9 AM -5 PM

Duties:

Oversees and manages Program Supervisors and Residence Counselors in the day-to-day operations of the Community Residences in compliance with New York State OMH Regulations.
Assists with the planning, implementation and evaluation of the Agency’s programs and services. Develops policies and procedures and updates program manuals with new and/or revised procedures.
Ensures the Licensed Programs operate within guidelines set by Loeb House and all outside regulatory agencies (i.e. NYS Office of Mental Health (Part 595), NYS Justice Center).
Conduct annual performance evaluations for Supervisors.
Attends biweekly Management Meetings.
Attends quarterly staff meetings in all licensed programs.
Attends residents’ meetings, in each program quarterly.
Make monthly visits to all licensed programs.

Communicates and documents any change of behaviors of residents to Director of Residential

Services and/or outside health professionals as needed.

Monitors electronic health records including admission, discharge, progress notes, support plans, medication, and hospitalizations for each resident. Providing additional training as needed.
Works with Director of Residential Services to update Emergency Procedures and Program

manuals for each program

Assists in management of welfare benefits/ referrals, i.e. SSI/SSD, etc. as needed.
Assist in planning for staff coverage for any Agency trips/holidays celebrations that recipients

Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with individuals with mental illness or related populations

- Strong leadership abilities, with prior experience supervising a team

- Strong administrative skills, including budgeting and program management

- Experience in relationship management with various populations

- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Driver's License
