Experienced Line Cook (Hybrid/All Stations)

We are an established high‑volume, upscale restaurant seeking a skilled line cook who can thrive in a fast‑paced kitchen while consistently delivering top‑quality dishes. This position is ideal for a culinary professional with seven or more years of line‑cooking experience in busy, higher‑end kitchens who is eager to learn new stations and develop into a versatile “hybrid” cook.

Key Responsibilities

Drawing inspiration from well‑regarded job postings and official job‑description templates, our hybrid line cook will be expected to:

Prepare and cook dishes to specification. Duties include prepping ingredients, cooking menu items and plating dishes precisely according to recipes and standards. You should be able to execute grill, sauté, fry and pantry items, ensuring that food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively.
Set up and stock stations. Prior to service, ensure each station is stocked with necessary ingredients and supplies and maintain a clean, organized work area throughout the shift.
Cross‑train on multiple stations. Rotate among grill, sauté, pantry, fry and prep stations and fill in wherever needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly. Job examples emphasize that line cooks should assist all stations and work as a team.
Maintain food safety and sanitation. Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage and sanitation procedures. Clean and sanitize the kitchen and equipment at the end of the shift.
Monitor quality and manage inventory. Check the freshness of ingredients, rotate stock following the FIFO method and communicate supply needs or equipment issues to management.
Collaborate and communicate. Work closely with other cooks and servers to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time. Assist with special events or prep tasks as needed and contribute to a positive, team‑oriented kitchen environment.

Qualifications
