Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and hospitality-driven Front of House Service Manager to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate has a proven background in high-volume, upscale dining and excels at creating exceptional guest experiences while leading and developing a high-performing team.

Position Summary

The Front of House Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our upscale, high-volume restaurant. This position ensures seamless service, exceptional guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and the continued development of our front-of-house team while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, professionalism, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise all aspects of daily restaurant operations in a high-volume, upscale dining environment.
Lead by example to deliver exceptional guest experiences and uphold the highest standards of hospitality, service, and product quality.
Maintain a polished, professional appearance and represent the restaurant's brand both within the restaurant and throughout the local community.
Respond to and resolve guest concerns promptly, courteously, and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction.
Monitor and control operational costs while maintaining proper inventory levels.
Develop, manage, and oversee the beverage program, including ordering, inventory management, and cost controls.
Create staff schedules that provide appropriate coverage based on business volume and operational needs.
Train, coach, mentor, and develop front-of-house team members through ongoing feedback, performance evaluations, and corrective counseling when necessary.
Manage cash handling procedures, maintain proficiency with POS systems, and complete daily operational reporting.
Ensure strict compliance with all health, sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety regulations.
Sales calls, event coordination, and assistance with catering.
Work collaboratively with the culinary and management teams to ensure smooth operations and an exceptional dining experience.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2–3 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a high-volume, upscale or fine dining environment.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
Exceptional guest service and conflict resolution abilities.
Experience with scheduling, labor management, inventory control, and cost management.
Knowledge of beverage programs, wine and spirits preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling.
Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for shifts lasting 10 or more hours.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Scheduled hours will vary based on business volume.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to use a personal vehicle and/or cell phone for business purposes when necessary.
