Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as an Assistant Manager - Restaurant, where your leadership and culinary expertise will drive exceptional dining experiences. In this energetic role, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure top-tier customer service, and manage a talented team to deliver memorable meals in a fast-paced environment. Duties

Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including shift management, staff scheduling, and ensuring smooth service flow
Supervise food preparation and kitchen activities to maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene
Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food and beverage stock levels to minimize waste and control costs
Utilize POS systems such as Toast POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
Train and mentor staff on food handling, customer service, food safety protocols, and operational procedures
Support staff recruitment through interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members
Monitor customer feedback to ensure service excellence and address any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction

Skills

Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with strong leadership capabilities
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices
Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
Strong understanding of inventory control, food safety management, and food industry regulations
Excellent communication skills for managerial communication, team training, and customer interactions
Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, budgeting, and profit/loss analysis
Experience supervising hospitality teams in casual dining or fine dining settings with a focus on team development and training
Knowledge of catering operations or banquet experience is a plus
Demonstrated ability to manage shift operations effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
