Social Media & Content Assistant
Part-Time | Jacksonville/St. Johns, FL + Remote | 10–15 Hours/Week
A growing Jacksonville-based spiritual wellness and personal growth brand is looking for a creative, organized, and proactive Social Media & Content Assistant to help share the stories, experiences, and transformations happening within our growing brand.
This is a small woman-owned business centered around energy healing, spiritual guidance, women’s empowerment, community connection, local workshops, international retreats, and sacred experiences.
We have no shortage of things to share. We need the right person to recognize the stories and content already happening within our business and bring them to life online.
How We’ll Work Together
Our goal is to make social media simple for the founder.
Each week, you might receive a voice memo that sounds something like:
“Here’s what’s happening this week. Here’s what’s been on my mind. Here’s something a client said. Here’s an event coming up. And here’s something I’ve been thinking about…”
Your job is to hear the content inside the conversation.
You’ll take those ideas—along with our photos, videos, testimonials, events, and brand materials—and turn them into thoughtful, engaging content.
The founder provides the voice, vision, and raw material. You help turn it into content and connection.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and maintain a simple monthly social media content calendar
- Turn founder voice notes and ideas into approximately 2–3 primary pieces of content per week (Posts, Reels, or carousels), plus supporting Stories
- Draft captions while maintaining the founder’s authentic voice
- Design branded Canva graphics and edit simple short-form video/Reels
- Turn testimonials, events, speaking engagements, and client experiences into compelling content
- Dedicate approximately 4 hours per week specifically to thoughtful online community engagement, relationship building, and audience growth
- Schedule and publish approved content across Instagram and Facebook
- Proactively identify content opportunities and bring creative ideas to the table
Local Content Capture
While most of the work can be completed remotely, we’re looking for someone in the Jacksonville/St. Johns area who can occasionally attend speaking engagements, workshops, and other local events to capture photos, short-form video, behind-the-scenes moments, and social content.
You do not need to be a professional photographer or videographer, but you should have a great visual eye and know how to capture engaging, social-media-ready content with a smartphone. Some events may take place during evenings or weekends but will be planned in advance.
You Might Be a Great Fit If…
- You genuinely enjoy social media and naturally notice what would make great content.
- You have great taste and a strong creative eye. You naturally recognize what feels beautiful, elevated, engaging, and on-brand without making everything feel overly designed.
- You’re organized, reliable, communicative, and have strong attention to detail.
- You’re a writer who can capture someone else’s voice rather than replacing it with your own.
- You’re proactive and can see an idea through without needing every step spelled out.
- You understand that a spiritual wellness brand should feel authentic, warm, grounded, welcoming, and human—not corporate or filled with generic spiritual clichés.
- You’re the kind of person who can hear a three-minute voice memo and immediately think: “There’s a Reel in that. That’s a caption. That would make a great Story. And we should definitely share that next week.”
Skills
You should be comfortable with:
- Instagram & Facebook
- Canva
- Editing reels, photos, and short-form video
- Instagram Stories
- Caption writing
- Social media scheduling
- Community engagement
- Smartphone photography/video
Experience with spiritual wellness, personal brand, and retreats is a plus, but not required.
Hours & Compensation
10–15 hours per week, including approximately 4 hours per week dedicated specifically to online community engagement and relationship building. Occasional additional paid hours may be available for local events and content capture.
$22–$30/hour, depending on experience.
This is a flexible, part-time hybrid role with the potential to grow.

- Your hourly rate and general availability
- Confirmation that you’re local to the Jacksonville/St. Johns area and available for occasional evening/weekend events planned in advance.
We’re not looking for someone to simply post more. We’re looking for someone who can help us recognize and thoughtfully share the stories already unfolding within our small business—and build genuine connections with the people who feel called to be part of them.
