Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an extremely organized File Clerk Specialist to do file organizing, management and maintenance. You will organize paperwork according to an efficient filing system and digitalize all important documents as directed. You will be expected to protect and update files as well as make them easily accessible. You must be organized and possess a serious understanding of confidentiality and data protection. The ideal candidate will be skilled in computers and detail-oriented. This position may grow into an Administrative Assistant or other.

Duties

Sort all papers alphabetically/categorical and/or by other and according to content, dates, significance etc.
Create or update records with new files and information
Store all paperwork in designated places securing the important documents
Enter paperwork into an electronic system either by data entry or by using optical scanners
Develop an efficient filing system to make updating and retrieving files easier
Follow policies and confidentiality dictations to safeguard data and information

Requirements

Proven experience as a file clerk, at least 2 years
Knowledge of filing systems
Good command of English both oral and written
Computer proficiency: Ability and proficiency to use Microsoft Office, and digital scanning tools.
Attention to detail: High accuracy in alphabetical, categorical and/or numerical filing to prevent lost records.
Discretion: Strict respect for data protection, privacy rules, and confidentiality policies.
Communication: Clear verbal and written skills to assist with finding or tracking files.
Any accounting experience a plus
