The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for all administrative Human Resources functions.
This position will exercise the organization’s “Mission Statement” to establish personal high standards of excellence and job performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS
Complete 30 hours of initial domestic and sexual violence training and other ongoing training required of non-direct staff.
NEW HIRE PROCESSING:
Coordinate with hiring manager to determine appropriate start date and time. Meet with new hire on his or her start date. Explain all required paperwork, request sign-off as necessary and provide new hire with designated handouts. Explain independent new training activities and be available to assist as needed. Process any forms that require online entry. For jobs that require a driver’s license, work with our insurance company to obtain driver clearance. Enter new employee information into Birthday List, Phone and Organization Chart. Create files and place paperwork within in required order.
EMPLOYEE EXIT/TERMINATION PROCESS
Obtain Exit/Termination form from releasing manager and place in employee file.
Remove employees from Birthday List, Phone and Organization Chart. Remove I-9 form from current binder and place in “terminated employee” binder. Remove driver’s license and place in terminated file if application.
Note employee exit on the Personnel Action Form in the employee file. Note Termination Date on the out side of file and place in Terminated Employee file drawer.
PERFORM SELF-AUDITS
Routinely review employee files and I-9s for proper completion and make corrections as necessary.
PERFORMANCE APPRAISALS
Track annual target dates of Performance Appraisals and 90-day Performance Appraisals, send reminders to supervisors and track receipt of signed-off copies.
HR POLICY, THRIFT SHOPPE PROCEDURES AND FORM CHANGES
Make changes to policy manuals and/or forms as directed, distribute changed pages to appropriate staff along with sign-off sheet, track receipt of sign-off sheets and file.
COORDINATE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Coordinate with hiring manager to determine appropriate start date and time of new volunteers. Meet with new volunteers to process paperwork. Check in with volunteers periodically to see if they have questions or need assistance, coordinate gratitude events at various times throughout the year.
EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
Notify new employees after 60 days of employment of their eligibility for benefits, provide the appropriate forms, and coordinate with our insurance company. Serve as the single point of contact for questions for employee benefit questions. Coordinate annual enrollment.
Qualifications/Experience
Education and/or Experience
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Proven experience and enjoyment of managing administrative tasks.
· Excellent organizational capabilities, including extreme attention to detail.
· Experience working in a position where the utmost confidentiality is crucial.

Continuing Education
Comply with mandatory annual domestic and sexual violence training as required by the Department of Children and Family Services and/or other funding sources.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write presentations and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to senior management.
Mathematical Skills
Basic mathematical skills are required.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Other Skills and Abilities
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point required.
