Job Overview

We are looking for a driven, sales-minded Commercial Insurance Producer to join our team. This is a relationship-based sales role for someone who enjoys meeting people, building trust, creating opportunities, and growing a book of business. Insurance experience is helpful, but not required. Proven sales success, confidence, follow-through, and a strong desire to succeed are what matter most. If you are motivated, coachable, competitive, and ready to build a long-term career, we can provide training, mentorship, market access, and agency support.

Duties

Develop new commercial insurance opportunities through networking, referrals, community involvement, and direct outreach.
Build relationships with business owners, decision-makers, referral partners, and centers of influence.
Identify client needs, business risks, and insurance opportunities.
Work with internal service teams to develop insurance solutions and deliver a first-class client experience.
Present proposals clearly and professionally.
Maintain an organized sales pipeline and consistent follow-up.
Ask for referrals and identify opportunities to grow client relationships.
Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, insurance companies, and teammates.
Represent the agency professionally in the community.
Build and grow a book of commercial clients over time.

Requirements

Proven sales success or strong business development potential.
Confident, professional, and comfortable starting conversations.
Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
Competitive, goal-driven mindset.
Self-starter with accountability and follow-through.
Organized and able to manage prospects, activity, and ongoing relationships.
Ability to hear “no” and keep moving forward.
Client-first mindset and sound business ethics.
Willingness to learn commercial insurance, carrier appetite, agency procedures, and risk management basics.
Ability to obtain a Florida insurance license if not already licensed.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in sales, business development, relationship management, hospitality, finance, real estate, banking, marketing, athletics, or another performance-driven field.
Commercial insurance, property and casualty, or agency experience.
Active Florida 2-20 insurance license.
Existing community involvement or strong local network.
Experience using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, or agency management systems.
College degree, insurance designation, or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation

Starting from $75,000 per year, with compensation based on experience, sales background, licensing, and demonstrated ability. Additional compensation opportunities may apply based on the agency’s producer compensation structure.

Schedule

Full-time, permanent position. Work location: Hybrid In Office (downtown St. Augustine), On the Road and Work from Home
