Full Job Description

Brown Fertility is the leading and fastest growing IVF center in Florida. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail oriented individual for the position of Patient Care Coordinator in our IVF/FET department.

Duties Include but not limited to:

· Case Management of IVF/FET cycles

Coordinating patient care plans by liaising with all necessary care providers and nurses to ensure patient needs for prescreening

o Collect and maintain health history of patient, maintain medical records for cycle clearance

o Prepare patient for exams and procedures

o Assist in patient calls and authorize prescriptions as approved by physician

o Monitor patient’s progress during IVF cycle and follow up on any missing items

o Evaluates and records health history of patient, documenting as required

o Prepare patient for exams and procedures

o Assist physician and/or APP with examinations & procedures

o Collects, labels, and documents lab specimens assuring lab results are received in a timely manner.

o Assist in patient calls and authorize prescription refills as approved by physicians

o Follow office policies for infectious control in handling and disposing of infectious/hazardous waste materials.

o Orders medical and lab supplies and assures needed supplies are available at all times

o Assures compliance with OSHA, QUAD-A, Department of Health, FDA, and HIPAA requirements

o Provides patient education and instruction, as needed

o Take calls on a rotational basis with other personnel

o Performs necessary lab work

o Performs admission vitals and assessments

o Ensures consent forms and other cycle related documents are completed and scanned into the patient’s electronic medical record prior to the patient beginning their IVF, FET, or IUI cycle. Patients cannot begin their cycle without all documents being uploaded to their medical record. Failure to upload the required cycle documents, prior to the start of the patient’s cycle, will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

o Work to create efficient systems and workflows within the department

o Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years working in a clinical or social work setting

· Excellent computer skills

· Maintains BLS certification

· Familiarity with electronic medical records software preferred

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· High Level of customer service

· Attention to detail and independent

Education:

Minimum of High School degree required. College degree strongly preferred.

Work Schedule:

· Monday through Friday with weekends as needed/scheduled

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
