Nurse Consultant Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Long Term Care RN. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience (D.O.N., A.D.O.N., N.M., D.H.S.) in both Nursing Home and Assisted Living. This is a 1099 Contract position.
The candidate must be able to create an enviornment of trust while balancing the holding staff accountable. The candidate must be knowledgeable about the regulations and be able to teach while leading via the regulations.
This position is primarly for the state of MN and its border states. It is a contract 1099 position. The work is intermittent and the consultant must be able to manage having intermittent work.

The work is filling in for leadership roles such as D.O.N., A.D.O.N., N.M etc as well as project work. Project work will be unique to each facility and its needs.

Duties
- Interim coverage for leadership positions in SNF and A.L.
- Project work as assigned such as improving census, onboarding new leadership, facility assessments, rebuilding broken systems, mock surveys, education etc.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of resident care practices and outcomes to ensure quality standards/regulations are met.
- Review and analyze medical records for accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on medical documentation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in order to meet best practice and have quality care outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop best practices for resident care.
- Educate staff on best practice, survey management and risk management.
- Ensure all practices comply with resident rights.
- Manage and mitigate facility risk.
- Assist in the development of training programs for nursing staff regarding documentation and resident care protocols.
Experience
- A valid Mn RN nursing license is required or a compact from the border states, with experience in leadership within LTC.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate staff.
- Ability to analyze complex information and provide clear recommendations for improvement in resident care practices.
- Ability to use strategy and view overarching concerns while rulinging out root cause
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
