What you will do::
The Production Lead Second Shift ( 3pm-1:30am ) is responsible for leading daily production activities while performing hands-on manufacturing and assembly work. This role supports production operations by coordinating workflow, assisting with complex production tasks, maintaining quality standards, and providing guidance and training to team members. The Lead Production Associate serves as a technical resource on the production floor and works closely with supervisors to ensure production goals, safety standards, and customer commitments are achieved.

Lead and coordinate daily 2nd shift production activities, assign work, balance workloads, and help ensure production goals and schedules are met.

Work alongside the team performing hands-on manufacturing and assembly while safely operating saws, hand and pneumatic tools, machinery, and other production equipment.

Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, production drawings, and measurements to ensure products are manufactured accurately and to specification.

Monitor product quality, troubleshoot production or material issues, and communicate concerns and solutions to supervisors and support teams.

Train, mentor, and support Production Associates while promoting teamwork, accountability, productivity, and consistent work standards.

Maintain a safety-first work environment by reinforcing PPE and safety requirements, monitoring equipment and work areas, and supporting continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.
What you will bring::
- Strong leadership, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills with previous production lead or manufacturing leadership experience preferred.

Manufacturing experience with strong mechanical aptitude; millwork, woodworking, door, truss, or specialty building product experience is a plus.

Ability to read blueprints, production drawings, templates, and work orders, accurately use a tape measure, and perform basic math.

Experience operating saws, routers, drills, pneumatic tools, forklifts, and other production equipment; forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Ability to perform physical production work throughout the shift, including standing, bending, repetitive tasks, and lifting up to 75 lbs.; occasional overtime, weekends, or travel may be required.
