Strong communication skills, positive and team-oriented attitude, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, excellent customer service, and willingness to learn are musts. Previous jewelry sales and retail experience is a bonus.

PERSONAL JEWELRY CONSULTANT

PURPOSE:
To contribute to the non-commissioned J. F. Kruse Jewelers sales team by partnering with other team members and staff to enrich the lives of others, achieve monthly revenue goals, and provide world-class customer service to every guest.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Provide world class service to each and every guest.

*Ensure that the jewelry is appropriately and effectively displayed, merchandised, inventoried, and replenished.

*Exhibit professionalism and proficiency through each step of the selling process from initial welcome and connection through closing and follow up.

*Demonstrate accuracy, integrity and extensive knowledge when conveying product information (e.g. diamonds, pearls, colored gems, metals, brands, etc.) to customers and other staff.

*Understand and explain jewelry components, basic repair terminology/processes and our company’s custom design process, providing advice and recommendations to customers as appropriate.

*Maintain complete customer records and implement successful outreach and follow-up.

*Perform routine examination and cleaning of customer jewelry, and photographing pieces as needed for repair and appraisal documentation.

*Clearly convey service instructions and timeframes to customers, ensuring follow-through on all communication and commitments.

*Price jewelry, special orders, custom design, and repairs accurately.

*Understand our company’s point of sale (POS) system, including how to enter/update customer information, capture special occasions, and pull reports for clienteling and tracking sales progress.

*Maintain required, appropriate, and secure sales floor coverage per company and security procedures, keeping customer jewelry and company assets secure and ensuring customer confidentiality.

*Respond to phone, email and in-person inquiries in a friendly and professional manner, routing people and communication as needed to the team member(s) best able to address the question or need.

*Understand, articulate and demonstrate our corporate philosophy.

*Represent J. F. Kruse Jewelers positively, professionally, and honorably both internally and externally.

*Contribute as a fully-invested member of the J. F. Kruse Jewelers team by communicating effectively with others, prioritizing the success of the team before your own interests, taking advantage of opportunities, and respecting every member of the team.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Results-oriented and fun personality, strong communication skills, positive, team-oriented attitude, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, excellent customer service, consistent work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Preferred: 2+ years of retail and sales experience
