We are seeking a passionate and dedicated HSE Manager / Bilingual Trainer to support the River Bend Data Center Project and help ensure every worker goes home safely every day.
Position Summary
The HSE Coordinator / Bilingual Trainer serves as a key member of the River Bend Project HSE Team in Saint Francisville, LA , providing direct field leadership, training, and support for Jacobs and subcontractor personnel. This position partners closely with Project Management, Construction Management, Client Representatives, and the Jacobs HSE leadership team to drive a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Jacobs’ BeyondZero® program, ensuring compliance with project requirements, regulatory standards, and client expectations while fostering strong relationships with craft professionals, subcontractor safety representatives, and project leadership.
This role requires a highly visible field presence, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to effectively engage both English- and Spanish-speaking members of the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Workforce Development
- Lead and deliver new safety orientations in English and Spanish for all project personnel.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and specialized safety training sessions in both English and Spanish.
- Facilitate toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and workforce engagement activities.
- Coordinate and administer project-specific training requirements, including virtual reality (VR) training programs for employees with less than three years of experience in their trade.
- Assist subcontractors in developing and improving safety training programs and workforce engagement initiatives.
Field HSE Support
- Maintain a strong daily field presence and actively engage with workers, supervisors, and subcontractor leadership.
- Conduct field audits, inspections, and observations to verify compliance with project safety requirements.
- Identify hazards and support implementation of effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Promote proactive hazard recognition and intervention through coaching and mentoring.
- Participate in operational readiness reviews, planning meetings, and project safety initiatives.
Incident Management
- Support incident notification, investigation, documentation, and reporting processes.
- Participating in root cause analyses and development of corrective actions.
- Track corrective actions to closure and verify effectiveness.
- Provide timely communication and support to project leadership regarding safety performance and significant events.
Contractor Management
- Support the review of subcontractor safety plans, job hazard analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), training records, and project deliverables.
- Assist in onboarding and badging processes for new personnel.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with project requirements and Jacobs expectations.
- Coach subcontractor supervisors and safety representatives to improve field engagement and performance.
Program Administration
- Maintain project HSE records, training documentation, and compliance tracking systems.
- Assist with data collection, reporting, and presentation of project safety metrics.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications and project management tools to support HSE operations.
- Ensure consistent implementation of Jacobs HSE procedures and client requirements.
Here's what you'll need
Minimum of 3 years of safety training delivery experience in construction, industrial, or similar environments.
Experience facilitating workforce training, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and coaching sessions.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (or ability to obtain through Jacobs).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with project teams. Demonstrated passion for worker safety and injury prevention.
Ability to communicate effectively with English- and Spanish-speaking workers.
Ideally, you'll have:
Experience supporting large-scale construction projects, data centers, industrial facilities, or mission-critical projects.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing).
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practice. Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.

The base salary range for this position is $85,100.00 to $117,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
