HFB Technologies is excited to announce an opportunity for a Customer Success Manager in St. George, Utah. We are seeking a consultative, data-driven, and retention-focused individual to join our Customer Success team.
This role focuses heavily on client retention, save-call execution, account risk monitoring, and driving measurable outcomes for our clients through our processes. The ideal candidate genuinely cares about the people on the other end of every call, is proactive and composed under pressure, and is passionate about seeing our clients succeed rather than simply checking boxes to complete a ticket.

Job Responsibilities
Client Retention & Consultation

Serve as the primary point of contact for at-risk and cancelling accounts, treating every conversation as a chance to leave the client better off than before the call.
Lead conversations rather than just responding to them, across phone, email, text, conference calls, and internal systems.
Learns and understands each client's business, customers, and goals well enough to deliver success-focused business reviews that show clear, measurable value and that naturally drive retention.

Save Call Execution & Documentation

Run save calls on cancellation and downgrade requests, applying retention levers sparingly and only as needed.
Follow CSM SOP playbooks for consistent, repeatable outcomes, with consistent accurate documentation in the CRM.

Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Identification

Monitor an assigned client portfolio for churn risk signals (dev hour usage, ticket inactivity, save-signal data) and get ahead of at-risk accounts before a cancellation request is made.
Coordinate with Sales, SEO, and Operations to align on account health and expansion opportunity.

Escalation Management

Own escalations end-to-end, resolving root causes rather than just the symptoms.
Coordinate with internal teams toward resolutions while keeping the client informed and following up until it's fully resolved.
Escalate appropriately when an issue falls outside seat-level authority.

Problem Solving & Critical Thinking

Gather technical insights and data points to educate clients and move them forward, rather than defaulting to agreement or concession.
Think creatively when the standard playbook doesn't fit, weighing decisions against how they impact the client and their customers.
Stay calm in high-stakes conversations, hold a position even when it's not what the client wants to hear, and work with them to an appropriate resolution.

Qualifications

2+ years in customer success, account management, retention, or another client-facing role with revenue accountability.
Technical aptitude to speak credibly with SMB owner-operators about websites, SEO, and marketing performance, and to learn internal systems quickly.
A mindset built around evolving every day: adapting as our processes grow and owning client outcomes even without much guidance.
Genuine care for the client's success and a drive to deliver a consistently excellent experience on every interaction.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable with CRM systems, ticketing platforms, AI platforms, and other technologies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
