SEASONAL BANQUET EVENT STAFF

Job Description

Sand Hollow Resort is a premier destination to Escape. Play. Discover. Relax. One of Southern Utah’s top-ranked golf destinations, our golf course is ranked in the top 50 out of the 100 top resort golf courses. The resort encompasses over 180 units ranging from one (1) to six (6) bedrooms for guests to relax in during their stay. Dine in our picturesque restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the gorgeous Southern Utah mountain ranges, then end your evening with a concert under the stars in our Rock Bowl.

We seek an experienced Seasonal Event Staﬀ to join our team at The Grille at Sand Hollow Resort.

The Seasonal Banquet Event Staﬀ plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service during events, ensuring that guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience. The individual in this position will assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events while ensuring the highest standard of service, cleanliness, and attention to detail. They play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for guests by arranging event spaces, setting up equipment, and assisting with decorations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and able to work eﬃciently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

● Assist in the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area, ensuring all tables, chairs, and decorations are arranged according to event speciﬁcations

● Arrange tables, chairs, decorations, and other event equipment as needed

● Maintain a high level of cleanliness, ensuring that all areas are tidy and that sanitary standards are consistently met, including proper handling of food and beverages

● Collaborate with Event Management and other staﬀ to execute events smoothly

● Follow safety protocols and guidelines while handling event equipment and materials

● Relay food and beverage orders to guests promptly, ensuring that all orders are delivered accurately and in a timely manner

● Anticipate guests’ needs by being attentive and responsive to their requests

● Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns or issues raised by guests, communicating with the appropriate personnel to resolve problems quickly and eﬀectively

● Relay important information about orders, allergies, and special requests to the appropriate team members to ensure guests’ needs are met

● Demonstrate the ability to maintain composure and professionalism while working in a busy, fast-paced event setting

Qualiﬁcations:

● Previous experience in a banquet or catering setting preferred

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills

● Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment

● Excellent organizational and time-management skills

● Ability to stand for long periods and carry or lift trays, dishes, and other items as needed

● Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules

● Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, adhering to the company dress code and grooming standards

● Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

● Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods during events

● Ability to lift and carry up to 50#s and work on your feet for extended periods of time

● Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

● Excellent communication and teamwork skills

● Previous experience in event setup or related ﬁelds is a plus, but not required

Type: Part-Time and On-Call

Shift: Morning, Day, Evening

Salary: $12/hr - $14/hr + tips

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
