Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations. This energetic role requires a passionate leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is dedicated to delivering exceptional food quality, safety, and customer service. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily kitchen activities, supervising staff, controlling inventory, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient workflow to support the overall success of our restaurant. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the dining experience and foster a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient food preparation and service
Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety, hygiene standards, cooking techniques, and POS system usage such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen
Lead staff scheduling, shift management, and coordinate team efforts to meet service demands
Conduct staff training sessions focused on food handling, customer service, and team leadership skills
Analyze profit and loss reports to optimize costs, improve profitability, and implement budgeting strategies

Requirements

Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant management or casual dining environments with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
Demonstrated supervising experience with team management, staff training, and interviewing skills
Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
Familiarity with inventory control, food safety management, and food industry best practices
Strong understanding of restaurant management operations including shift management, food handling procedures, and hospitality standards
Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in high-pressure situations
Basic math skills for cash handling, budgeting, and profit analysis
Previous experience in fine dining or catering is a plus; hotel or banquet experience is advantageous
Ability to manage hospitality teams with leadership qualities that motivate staff towards excellence in customer service
