Full Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Finisher Laborer will physically assist with concrete construction tasks, preparing and maintaining work areas, and operating tools and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

· No

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Work under site Foreman to complete tasks such as setting forms, placing concrete, and finishing concrete.

· Prepare the site for concrete placement.

· Operate equipment on site including, but not limited to, telehandler, skid loader, and power trowels with approval from the Foreman.

· Work with crew members to complete structural and civil cast-in-place concrete.

· Courteously partner with crew members and other individuals on the job site.

· Help to ensure the concrete work meets quality standards and specifications.

· Any other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Required Skills/Abilities:

· Read, write, and comprehend the English language.

· Be able to take directions from supervisors.

· Must be able to work overtime when required.

· Maintain an acceptable level of job performance on a consistent basis.

· Be able to report to work on time and be ready to work at the start of every shift.

· Operate any equipment safely and efficiently as required.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Must have a valid driver's license.

Education and Experience:

· Previous experience in a similar role preferred.

· Must have a basic knowledge of the safety requirements of a construction site.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Be able to lift and transport a minimum of 60 pounds on a consistent basis and up to 80 lbs. intermittently.

· Able to stoop, twist, bend, squat, kneel reach at or below or above the shoulder level.

· Must be able to handle outdoor temperatures in the summer and winter months.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to travel on occasion for a week or so at a time.
