Position Title: Hospital Food Service Director

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Salary: 78-82K

Metz Culinary Management is growing and we have openings for a Rock Star Food Service Director/GM who shares our passion for Food and Service. This position is a prominent opportunity in our Healthcare Division in a busy clinical setting and requires a polished and professional identity and winning attitude from a Director with experience leading a team in all operations. Multi-outlet experience is a must overseeing Patient/Resident Food Service, Café, Retail, Coffee Shop, and Grab and Go services. CDM Strongly Desired

The Food Service Director/ GM has an overall responsibility of food service. He/She institutes company cycle menus and recipes; plans and oversees purchasing, employee personnel programs, scheduling, bookkeeping, customer and client relations; overseas the food preparation service and sanitation; and is accountable for the total operation results. The General Manager reports to Client Administration and The District Manager.

Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Director of Food Service/General Manager to lead our food and beverage operations. This role is perfect for someone passionate about hospitality, with a knack for managing diverse teams, streamlining restaurant processes, and delivering top-notch customer experiences. As the driving force behind our food service department, you'll oversee daily operations, ensure food quality standards are met, and foster a welcoming environment for both staff and guests. Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of food service operations across multiple outlets or locations, including casual dining, fine dining, catering, and bar services.
Oversee staff hiring, training, development, and performance management to build a motivated and skilled team.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health regulations, and sanitation practices to maintain a safe environment.
Manage inventory control processes using systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
Supervise food preparation, cooking procedures, and presentation quality to uphold high standards of culinary excellence.
Handle budgeting responsibilities including cost control, pricing strategies, and financial reporting to meet organizational goals.
Foster exceptional customer service by addressing guest feedback promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Oversee shift management by coordinating staff schedules and ensuring smooth daily operations during busy hours.
Implement training programs focused on food handling, safety protocols, POS operation, and team development to enhance staff skills.
Collaborate with kitchen management to streamline food production processes and improve overall efficiency.

Skills

Extensive experience in food service management within quick service & fast food restaurants or hospitality environments such as hotels or casual dining establishments.
Strong leadership skills with proven supervising experience in restaurant or kitchen settings.
Proficiency with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and inventory tracking.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary standards, and food safety regulations.
Excellent communication skills for effective team management and customer interaction.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures.
Experience in staff training & development along with interviewing potential team members.

Requirements:

3+Plus Years in a Food Service Manager role (front and back)

3+ Plus Years in Hospital Food Service Management role

Impeccable Communication Skills

Culinary or Hospitality Degree a strong plus
