Associate Attorney
Werring Law, LLC
Atchison Valley Falls Tonganoxie Northeast Kansas
Build a Career and Reputation That Lasts
Werring Law, LLC is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing firm and become part of the next chapter of our expansion throughout Northeast Kansas. This position is designed for an attorney who wants more than simply handling files. We are looking for someone who wants to establish roots, build meaningful client relationships, develop a respected reputation within the legal community, and ultimately grow into a long-term leadership role within the firm.
This is a partnership-track opportunity with substantial potential for professional and financial growth.
Our office continues to expand its presence across multiple communities and practice areas. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with clients, courts, and professional contacts throughout the region while building a practice in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Relocation is not required. The successful candidate may choose any of our office locations as their primary office. Travel between offices is anticipated, generally at least once per week, to meet client needs and maintain our growing regional presence.
Active Kansas licensure is required. Missouri licensure is preferred.
Why Join Werring Law?
This position offers a unique opportunity to practice law in communities where personal relationships still matter and attorneys have the opportunity to become recognized and respected members of the local professional community.
Our office serves communities that provide the advantages of small-town living while remaining conveniently located near Kansas City, Lawrence, Topeka, and St. Joseph. Attorneys can enjoy shorter commutes, lower living costs, strong community connections, excellent schools, and a quality of life that is increasingly difficult to find in larger metropolitan areas.
The local bench and bar foster a level of professionalism and mutual respect that allows attorneys to focus on serving clients and solving problems rather than engaging in unnecessary conflict, all while remaining effective advocates and trusted counselors for those they represent.
Outside the courtroom, these communities offer outstanding local restaurants, gathering places, civic organizations, networking opportunities, and welcoming legal communities that make it easy for professionals and their families to become active members of the community.
Most importantly, this associate will work directly with Andrew Werring and receive regular mentorship, practical instruction, and ongoing guidance. We are committed to helping the right attorney develop sound judgment, sharpen advocacy skills, build client relationships, and establish a successful long-term practice. This position is well-suited for an attorney seeking hands-on experience and direct access to mentorship from an experienced practitioner.
For an attorney seeking a place to build a career rather than simply hold a position, this role provides exceptional opportunities for advancement, practice development, and eventual leadership within the firm.
