About the Role
As a CT Technologist (Computed Tomography Technologist), you'll perform advanced imaging procedures that help physicians diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical conditions. You'll operate CT scanners, position patients, administer contrast when appropriate, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images are obtained efficiently and safely.
This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, patient care skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans and diagnostic imaging procedures according to physician orders
- Operate computed tomography (CT) imaging equipment safely and effectively
- Position patients to ensure optimal image quality
- Review imaging requests and verify patient information
- Administer contrast agents when required and monitor patient responses
- Produce high-quality cross-sectional diagnostic images
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnoses
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide compassionate patient care
- Maintain imaging records and clinical documentation
- Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols
- Perform equipment quality assurance checks and assist with workflow efficiency
Minimum Qualifications
- Active CT Technologist license, certification, or registration as required by state and facility
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CT imaging experience
- Strong knowledge of CT procedures, anatomy, and imaging protocols
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced healthcare environments
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
