Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to quality will shine! In this energetic role, you’ll be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing fresh ingredients, executing recipes with precision, and ensuring every dish meets our high standards of taste and presentation. Your culinary skills will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests, all while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your food industry expertise and work alongside talented kitchen professionals.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, slicers, and food processors.
Follow food safety standards in handling, storage, and sanitation to ensure a hygienic work environment.
Assist with meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning routines.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Support catering events or special menu requests by preparing ingredients or assembling plated dishes.

Requirements

Previous experience in a food service environment such as restaurants, catering, or dietary departments is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production.
Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation.
Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in meal presentation.
Experience with food handling, meal preparation, and operating various kitchen equipment.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members.
A proactive attitude toward cleaning duties and maintaining a safe workspace.
