Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Receptionist to join our team! This vital role combines the essential functions of managing accurate financial records with providing exceptional front-desk support. As a key member of our organization, you will ensure smooth financial operations while creating a welcoming environment for visitors and team members alike. Your energetic approach and meticulous attention to detail will help drive our administrative excellence and financial integrity forward. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across multiple areas of accounting and office management.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank deposits, updating invoicing, and other tasks as needed in QuickBooks
Conduct bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, and accounts payable/receivable processing to ensure accurate financial data
Prepare financial reports such as AR aging reports, Balance Sheet, Profit/Loss and other reports as needed.
Maintain precise records of debits & credits, general ledger transactions, and account analysis to uphold financial integrity
Handle incoming calls, greet visitors professionally, and manage office correspondence to foster a welcoming environment, including keeping the office tidy
Perform administrative duties such as data entry (including 10 key typing), filing, taking messages, typing various documents with accuracy, using eFiling systems, managing email inbox, and maintaining office supplies along with other tasks as needed

Experience

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles - familiarity with a law office is a plus, but not required
Strong knowledge of accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and financial report writing
Hands-on experience with Quickbooks is essential - but extensive experience with similar accounting software could be considered
Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation accurately
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively and communicate clearly
Excellent attention to detail required

This is a part-time position designed for motivated individuals eager to grow their expertise in bookkeeping and office administration. The schedule is flexible with hours ranging from 20-23 hours a week during business hours: Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30pm.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
