MetroLagoons transforms everyday life into a vacation. With four resort-style lagoons across Florida, guests enjoy thrilling water adventures, swim-up bars, cabanas, and community events—creating spaces where families connect, friends celebrate, and every visit feels like a sun-soaked escape filled with fun, relaxation, and unforgettable memories.

SUMMARY:

The Assistant General Manager of Food & Beverage duties will include coordinating daily operations, maintaining liquor, beer, wine & food cost budgeting, supervising staff members, and adhering to a high level of customer service.

They will provide strong leadership and opportunities for overall facility growth and individual skill enhancement. The role will require excellent managerial skills including the ability to assist with recruitment efforts and onsite training of all employees in accordance with established costs, procedures, and staffing needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain and promote a high standard of customer service
Assist in creating SOP, including written policies and procedures for all facility services, administration, and maintenance
Coordinate with General Manager on a monthly and yearly basis regarding management reports, outlining key facility statistics and a summary of daily operations
Initiate and maintain constant communication and collaboration with various ancillary departments
Submit all paperwork, financial reporting, and payroll
Responsible for cash handling policies and procedures
Responsible for cash drawer maintenance and daily deposits
Plan, organize, and manage the daily operations of the hospitality staff to ensure efficiency
Oversee liquor, beer, wine, and food inventory, calculate costs of food and beverage items for recipe costing
Check inventory supplies and equipment daily
Attend to any concerns logged by guests in a professional and timely manner
Supervise staff members along with performing monthly evaluations of staff members according to performance and participation
Study market trends to help determine the future goals of the hospitality division

QUALIFICATIONS:

HS Diploma or equivalent (required); college degree preferred
At least 2 years of managerial experience in the hospitality industry
Exceptional knowledge of standard hospitality practices and procedures
Strong leadership/managerial skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and communicate with staff members
Ability to adapt to change, including adherence to strict budget and labor guidelines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time
Lift up to 50lbs
