Full Job Description

We are Air Quality Engineering, Inc.. A 50+ year, 100% Employee Owned, manufacturer of a wide variety of air cleaners and air filtration systems for industrial and commercial applications. Manufactured in Minnesota, we take pride in the quality and reliability of our products and our commitment to providing our customers the best-in-market environmental solutions.

A successful Business Development Representative (BDR) in this role will have a strong ability to hunt for new customers yet efficiently allocate their time to accomplish selling strategies. They will prospect new customers in the industrial market, uncover their needs and present appropriate solutions. This market includes distributors, key customers, contract manufacturers as well as a large existing customer base. Knowledge of industrial processes such as machining is critical.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop a pipeline of candidates and a territory plan with growth targets of 10% or better. This will result in 1 new large user or distributor per month.
Developing long term relationships: Develop a regional strategy for maintaining and growing existing relationships to ensure consistent future business.
Exceed annual sales objectives as outlined in the Commission Plan document.
Conduct professional and effective onsite and virtual sales calls to secure new accounts and achieve KPI's.
Utilize CRM to track and manage contacts and prospects
Order Entry/Quote Creation
Solve customer problems, including technical support

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or related technical degree such as engineering.
3+ years of proven success selling into the industrial, OEM and/or manufacturing sectors or equivalent education and experience.
Experience selling direct to major accounts as well as experience developing sales strategy,distribution network sales channels
Demonstrated ability to develop selling partners(distributors and dealers)
Excellent time management skills with ability to work on multiple projects
Ability to hold conversations with the right people to move the company forward

Air Quality Engineering, Inc. offers a customer-focused, respectful work environment with teamwork as a core values. This position offers a competitive base salary of $50,000-$75,000 plus an unlimited commission plan along with benefits including employee ownership (ESOP).
