General Manager

Old Southern BBQ Smokehouse

Salary: $70,000–$72,000 per year + Performance Bonus + Benefits

At Old Southern BBQ Smokehouse, we don't just serve incredible barbecue—we build great teams, create memorable guest experiences, and have a lot of fun doing it.

We're looking for an experienced General Manager who is a confident leader, exceptional organizer, and strong operator. This isn't a desk job, and it isn't just a kitchen job—it's the person who brings everything together. You'll lead from the front, coach your team, manage the business, and make sure every guest leaves happier than when they walked in.

If you're an experienced GM who loves a fast-paced environment, knows how to build culture, and can confidently jump into the kitchen when needed, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As General Manager, you'll oversee every aspect of restaurant operations, including:

Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing team
Hiring, training, scheduling, and retaining exceptional employees
Driving a positive, accountable, and fun team culture
Managing labor, food costs, inventory, and financial performance
Creating weekly plans and staying ahead of operational needs
Ensuring exceptional guest experiences every single day
Maintaining food safety and operational standards
Solving problems quickly and making sound decisions under pressure
Working closely with leadership to achieve restaurant goals
Rolling up your sleeves and supporting the kitchen whenever needed

What Makes You a Great Fit

Required Qualifications

Previous General Manager experience is required
Strong restaurant leadership background in a high-volume environment
Comfortable working in and leading a kitchen during busy periods
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Strong administrative abilities, including scheduling, inventory, reporting, and labor management
Proven ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)
