Job Title: Nurse Manager - Surgery Center

Position Summary:

The Nurse Manager for Surgery Center is responsible for the overall management and coordination of surgical services within the ASC, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care. This role includes oversight of ASC operations, staff management, regulatory compliance, and continuous performance improvement. The Nurse Manager will report regularly to the assigned supervisor and the management team, providing updates on operational performance, quality outcomes, and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage the Surgery Center team, promoting teamwork, professional development, and a culture of excellence.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and accreditation standards, including AAAHC guidelines, HIPAA, and infection control policies.
Supply & Equipment Management: Oversee procurement and maintenance of all surgical supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for scheduled cases; manage inventory to support cost-effective operations.
Patient Care Management: Oversee and support patient care processes, including pre-operative assessments, intra-operative coordination, post-operative care, and discharge planning.
Infection Control & Safety: Implement and enforce evidence-based infection control measures and patient safety protocols.
Financial Management: Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and ensure efficient resource allocation and utilization review.
Collaboration: Partner with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize surgical workflows, outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
Quality Improvement: Monitor performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement strategies for ongoing operational and clinical excellence.

Requirements:

Current RN license in MN
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including leadership roles is required.
Operating Room (OR) experience required
Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
