Process Technician (Manufacturing/Process/Production/Machine/Equipment/Electrical)

Job Summary
We are seeking a Process Technician to support the development and operation of specialized nonwoven manufacturing processes. In this hands-on role, you will operate and maintain laboratory and pilot-scale process equipment, perform quality testing, document process data, and support continuous process improvements.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience operating industrial manufacturing equipment, particularly in roll-to-roll processing, nonwovens, textiles, plastics, film, paper, or other web processing environments.
Responsibilities
- Configure, operate, and maintain laboratory and process equipment.
- Operate roll-to-roll and web processing equipment to support manufacturing and process development activities.
- Perform quality inspections, product sampling, and material testing.
- Measure and document material properties and process results.
- Maintain accurate production and testing records.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Assist with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, 5S, SPC, or Six Sigma principles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Handle materials, move pallets, and lift up to 50 pounds as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Manufacturing Technician, Process Technician, Production Technician, Machine Operator, or Process Operator in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- At least 1 year of experience performing quality inspections, product sampling, or quality control testing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certificate in Mechanical Technology, Process Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in:
- Nonwoven manufacturing
- Roll-to-roll processing
- Web processing
- Fiber processing
- Textile manufacturing
- Film, paper, or converting operations
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, or Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Experience working in laboratory, pilot plant, or process development environments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including:
- Steel-toe shoes
- Hearing protection
- Respiratory protection
- Medical surveillance (hearing and respirator clearance) is required during onboarding.
Pay: $21.00 - $22.50 per hour
