Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented MDS Coordinator to join our educational team. This vital role involves overseeing the management and accuracy of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments within our healthcare or educational facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting quality resident or student care. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for education, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to program coordination. As an MDS Coordinator, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of documentation, facilitating effective communication among staff, and enhancing overall program quality.

Duties

Coordinate and complete comprehensive MDS assessments in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring timely submissions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including educators, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to gather accurate data and develop individualized care or education plans.
Maintain detailed records of assessments, updates, and compliance documentation using educational administrative software and productivity tools such as Microsoft Office.
Provide training and support to staff on MDS procedures, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements to promote best practices across the organization.
Monitor ongoing resident or student progress through regular review of assessment data, adjusting care or educational plans as needed.
Ensure all documentation adheres to privacy laws and organizational policies while maintaining data integrity.
Assist in program development initiatives aimed at improving assessment processes, staff training modules, and overall quality assurance measures.

Skills

Higher education teaching experience combined with a strong background in education administration or early childhood education center experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and educational administrative software for data management.
Proven experience in school administrative leadership or as a school experience supervisor with personnel management skills.
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering teamwork and leadership within educational or healthcare settings.
Strong writing skills for preparing reports, documentation updates, and communication with stakeholders.
Knowledge of childcare regulations, early childhood education standards, and working with students of various ages.
Experience in program development, implementing new assessment procedures, and enhancing productivity software usage to streamline workflows.
