Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking a Legal Services Coordinator to provide specialized program support for the General Counsel’s Office. In this role, you will serve as the secondary coordinator for all Special Review Board (SRB) hearings involving clients committed as sexually dangerous persons (SDP) and/or sexual psychopathic personalities (SPP). This coordination includes obtaining relevant documents, evaluating submissions for conformance with applicable laws and policies, managing the SRB’s extensive hearing calendar, and facilitating SRB hearings.
In collaboration with the assigned Deputy and Assistant Deputy General Counsels, you will act as the Department’s liaison and provide technical assistance and training of the SRB to the CAP judges and support staff and SDP/SPP SRB hearing participants, including SRB members, DCT staff, individuals appearing before the SRB and their attorneys, victims, county attorneys, county social service agencies, treatment professionals, and forensic evaluators.

One year of experience coordinating legal services and providing administrative support for a legal, governmental, regulatory or similar complex environment. Experience must include:
- Coordinating and tracking legal matters, projects, cases or other complex assignments.
- Applying regulations, policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Developing and implementing recommendations to improve processes and/or procedures.

Creating and maintaining written documents, spreadsheets, and document storage systems using software such as SharePoint and the Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent.
