Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients and supporting the smooth operation of our dental implant clinic. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact, following advertisement leads, managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and handling administrative tasks with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in medical administrative support and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems will ensure accurate documentation and efficient clinic workflows. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care while honing your skills in medical billing, coding, and health information management.

Responsibilities

Bilingual is a requirement - Spanish and English
Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional front desk customer service, ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out
Schedule patient appointments accurately using dental practice management software and coordinate with clinical staff to optimize daily operations
Manage electronic health records (EHR)
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including care plans, medical histories, and treatment authorizations
Handle phone communication with professionalism, answering inquiries about appointments and billing questions using proper phone etiquette
Process payment using associated credit card machine
Maintain filing systems for medical records and ensure compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and health information management standards

Skills

Bilingual is a requirement - Spanish and English
Proven experience in a dental clinic setting or medical office environment with strong clerical skills
Excellent customer service skills coupled with phone etiquette and clear communication abilities
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation review and administrative tasks
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies
Experience with medical scheduling and payment processing
Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes
Prior dental clinic experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a proactive attitude toward learning new systems is essential
